This unit replaces a similar one purchased 3 years ago which developed rust patches all along the seams. I love the product since it matches my other Profile appliances, but now after only a month of use, this one has developed a problem with the open latch. I’m concerned about GE’s reliability & quality.

I have only had it for a few days but so far I love it.
With Covid slowdowns and distribution delays we waited over 6 weeks for our new GE Profile Series microwave oven. The trim kit will be another 3 months but we were very anxious to experiment with our new oven - a real gem!
I have had my GE PEB9159DJ1WW since July 2017, not even 5 yrs old yet and it just stopped working 2 days ago. The light still comes on and there is noise but the turntable won’t move and nothing is heating up. My previous GE worked fine and we only changed it because of a kitchen remodel, we had it for over 23 yrs and never had any problems.
